Ismayilli Tour
The location of this region (Azerbaijani: “İsmayıllı rayonu”) at the foot of the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus.
It is the administrative center and city of Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan.
The territory in the north of the country is from IV century BC. up to was the part of the Caucasian Albania.
The remains of the medieval castle related to the name of Javanshirin (VII century) ruler of Caucasian Albania. Currently this site is in Talistan village of Ismayilli.
Ismayilli region is rich in folk traditions.
Lahij is a mountain village known in the 7th century. This is famous for its weapon and dishes made of copper.
Here you can find different souvenir shops, art galleries and cafes. Visitors can take a walk in the old village and shop for some souvenirs and after drive back to your place of stay in Ismailli.
As of Basqal village, it is one of the centers of crafts and silk culture in the Middle Ages, has also get popularity.
Visitors can see a suspension bridge constructed over the river. This place is very interesting for tourists to take photos during their Ismayilli tour. The location of suspension brige is at the roadside around 11km south of Lahıc settlement in Ismailli.
